- All color-change finishes in this catalog are PET (polyethylene terephthalate) films with a finish-locked topcoat and air-release pressure-sensitive adhesive. PET is chosen for dimensional stability and color depth — not the same polymer as paint protection film.
- What material is your paint protection film?
- PPF is multi-layer TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) — thicker, more elastic, and self-healing. It stays optically clear and is designed to absorb stone chips and scuffs, not to change the vehicle's color. Color film = PET; PPF = TPU.
- What exactly is a color-change wrap?
- A thin, durable PET film applied over painted panels. It transforms color and finish while protecting original paint underneath. Unlike a respray, it's removable — so the change is reversible and the factory finish stays intact.
- How long does a wrap last?
- Premium PET color film typically holds color and adhesion for roughly 5–7 years on vertical surfaces. TPU PPF is commonly rated 7–10 years. Lifespan depends on climate, care, and storage. Matte and satin finishes can be more sensitive to oils than gloss.
- Will it damage my paint?
- On factory-cured OEM paint, no — quality film uses a removable adhesive engineered to release cleanly. We don't recommend wrapping repaints, touch-ups, or non-cured paint, as the adhesive can lift compromised coatings on removal.
- How do I care for a wrapped vehicle?
- Hand wash with a mild, non-abrasive detergent and a soft microfiber mitt. Avoid automated brush washes, harsh solvents, and wax on matte or satin finishes (it streaks the texture). Spot-clean bird droppings, tree sap, and bug residue promptly — they're acidic and can stain if left.
- Can wraps be removed?
- Yes. With heat and patience, PET color film and TPU PPF both peel away in large sections, leaving original paint beneath. Removal is easiest within the film's service life; aged film takes longer but still releases cleanly when warmed correctly.
